SAAST

During the summer of 2013, I attended a robotics program at SAAST (Summer Academy of Applied Science and Technology (now called ESAP)). It was basically a very simplified version of mechatronics (see Robockey) where we did a couple small assignments and then worked in groups for a big final project. The final project was called RoboTank, where we had to build a remote controlled tank that could shoot small foam balls at other robots. For more rules details, see the project description here. I worked with Teddy Reiss and Gabrielle Madden to create the robot and remote controller shown below. I mostly worked on the mechanical design and laser cutting. This project ended up being the inspiration for my Independent Study.

Earlier in SAAST I wrote code for this line follower.
